What words do you use when describing the success you desire?
Today, let’s dive deep into the subject of success and the power of our words. Most of us are just trying to get through the day, navigating the same routines. It’s said that 90% of our days are repetitive - same stuff, different day - and 90% of our daily thoughts are the same as the day before.
We are creatures of habit, but if you want to stay in the game and thrive in an ever-changing world, you need to adapt.
“It's not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but rather, those who are most adaptable to change.”
The only person who cares about your hopes and dreams of the future is you. The only person who is going to make them happen is you. Be a good person and get busy becoming that person. Don’t waste your time proving it to anyone... Get busy doing what is most important for you.
Each thought we have paves the way for our next thought. Our thoughts become the words we use to describe our understanding and perception of the world. Together, our thoughts and self-talk guide our focus. We become what we think about most of the time. We consciously instruct our subconscious mind on the tasks it needs to work on to achieve the outcomes we desire. These initial thoughts are vitally important as they shape the life we experience. In essence, we are self-driven prophecies. We are the creators of the lives we live.
-- Yet, 98% of people in this world are drifting through life like a dry leaf in the wind, with no plan or purpose --
Self-esteem is the foundation of all high performance. It’s what you truly feel about yourself. Think of yourself as the captain of a ship, giving instructions to your crew about the destination you want to reach. Your conscious mind is the captain, and your helpful crew is your subconscious mind. If you have genuine self-belief, you’ll also have self-confidence and self-esteem. These three elements are intertwined, working together to steer you towards the success you desire.
To navigate towards a successful future, you must have a clear vision of your future self. Who are you becoming? Remember, the only person who truly cares about your hopes and dreams is you. Therefore, the only person who is going to make them happen is you.
Here are a few thoughts to ponder:
- If you want to be trusted, be honest. Start by being honest with yourself. Do you like your current self?
- If you want to be valued, be a valuable person to others. You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough others get what they want.
What are three things you can do today that will create a positive change in the quality of your life moving forward? Take a moment to think about this. Write them down—think on ink. Small, consistent actions can lead to significant transformations over time.
